MARGUERITE is a Belgian designer creating UNIQUE, HAND-MADE clothing.
As she is only working when inspiration invites her, she only creates JUST A FEW EXQUISITE ARTICLES each month.
Although creating one-off articles may resemble more to masochism than to fashion, some very beautiful articles see the light of the day. Most of her articles take from 25 to 46 hours of work each.
And because DEMAND is much higher than what she creates you’ll find VERY RARELY some of HER CREATIONS on sale. And beautiful are the dresses and the jackets created by Marguerite!
Although she doesn’t like publicity, sometimes you might find a few articles for sale here.
Check the Marguerite Couture label. And good luck! Cause you’ll need it if you want to wear her creations…
Short Bio
Marguerite has a long history of playing with materials and giving them life.
Her love and passion for the “couture” is reflected all along the way: while she is choosing materials, combining them, sewing them together, putting them into shape. For that, they become not only an article but a personality enhancer for the person that wears her creations.

This fall is all about legs, legs and more legs. There is no better way to show off toned legs than with a sleek pair of leggings.
The most important thing when picking out a pair is to pay attention to the fabric. Do not pass pantyhose off as leggings. Choose a quality, heavier material that will hide imperfections and will give your legs a smooth, flawless surface.
Leggings come in materials from denim to leather, so experiment to find the right pair for you. The design is in the details, too — zippers, buttons and lace are all popping up on leggings.
Not quite ready to bare all? Opt for a great pair of dark skinny denim. This allows you to feel a little more held in, while still maintaining the overall silhouette of a legging.
Tips on how to wear blazers and leggings:
Wear leggings like leggings. Even if they are leather or denim, you must still have some coverage of your waist and hips. Most boyfriend blazers will cover enough, but if opting for a shrunken blazer, be sure to pair it with a longer top.
Go for a full-length legging that comes down to your ankle. This creates a much longer line and is more flattering than cropped styles, which visually cut your leg in half.
Wear your legging-and-blazer outfit with “shooties” (cross between an ankle boot and a shoe) or boots to complete the look. Leggings are the perfect bottoms to tuck into boots because there is minimal bunching.

Marguerite has a long history of playing with materials and giving them life.
Recently she has been inspired by the Belgian creativity, so she decided to create her first collection.
Although this happened only as early as last year, she has been working relentlessly ever since.
Her love and passion for the “couture” is reflected all along the way: while she is choosing materials, combining them, sewing them together, putting them into shape. For that, they become not only an article but a personality enhancer for the person that wears her creations.
One of the best kept secrets in the fashion industry:
MARGUERITE is a Belgian designer creating UNIQUE, HAND-MADE clothing.
As she is only working when inspiration invites her, she only creates JUST A FEW EQUISITE ARTICLES each month.
We have convinced her to share with the rest of the world her creations and put a few in this shop. And IT WASN’T EASY!
But here they are! And because DEMAND is much higher than what she creates you’ll find VERY RARELY some of HER CREATIONS on sale.
Check the Marguerite Couture label. And good luck! Cause you’ll need, to get one from HER…

Welcome to the August 2, 2009 edition of the Carnival of Fashion! We came back with best posts submitted during the summer. Enjoy! There we go:
The Category of those who did not categorized
A few great articles about bags!
(And because Sabrina Alexis posted a lot of articles, we might as well create a new category: A New Mode
We had to choose two posts. Keep up the good work Sabrina!)
Use those jeans to transform yourself!
A few tips for not burning your bill and still looking good:
Design / Models / Patterns
Why should we choose a shoulder “enhancer” is explained by Talk Prom Dresses presents Show Those Shoulders posted at Prom Dresses, saying, “Displaying shoulders seems to have been a hit in this past year’s prom dress season.”
Ben Lau presents Hong Kong PolyU Design Annual Show posted at vidafine.com, saying, “Every year, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)’s School of Design holds an Annual show featuring students’ works. This year, the school recognized that design is no longer a “one-way street” and that the underlying theme for the show would be “Response”. This was chosen to emphasize communication and interaction in the making of good design. I have compiled a short list of a couple of my favourites from the show.”

Tattoo is an accessory as our clothes and John presents Henna Art Tattoos posted at Printable Tattoo, saying, “Ever thought a tattoo could be a fashion trend? well check out beautiful Henna Art Tattoos. They could be the next big fashion statement.”
What colours for this year?
Rabbit White presents Safe and comfortable colors | Rabbit Write posted at Rabbit Write, saying, “When I first read about Rebecca Turbow’s safe clothing line in 2006, I was utterly fascinated to learn that the designer only wore one color, which at the time was turquoise. Turbow wore turquoise for 8 years before switching to gray in 2008. The idea of wearing only one color resonated with me, I thought that level of control must feel safe, almost like a boundary, comfortable and easy… though maybe a bit boring. It also sounds a bit like synesthesia: a condition where sensations are mixed, numbers may be colored or perhaps words with taste. I think I’ve always been somewhat of a synesthete,”
You cannot miss sherry’s blog about “+size” fashion:
sherry presents I Love Monif C PLus SIze posted at PLUS SIZE FASHION UNDERGROUND, saying, “plus size fashion”
Amir Marzouq presents Checking out Eco-friendly Plus Size Fashion | Guffly posted at Guffly, saying, “Guffly is a one product per day online store and community with a focus on eco friendly products and fair trade lifestyle goods like home, pet, clothing, office and personal accessories.

Hottest Shops / Concepts
Rabbit White tells us to throw away everything it is not “us”.
Rabbit White presents Wardrobe: stripped and swapped | Rabbit Write posted at Rabbit Write, saying, “The most productive thing I’ve ever done for my closet and possibly my personal style is the night I spent cleansing my wardrobe with my neighbor-friend Perry. We threw away about 50% of our clothes, bringing new life to our closets by claiming the treasures we found in each others trashed clothes.
The rules were simple. Throw away anything you don’t wear, or that you don’t see yourself wearing again. Throw away anything that does not lend itself to your current personal style, or what your mind’s eye sees as your classic style. Throw away anything you wore in order to fit in with a certain group, or for a boy. Throw away all things that are faded or look too old. Convene with the clothing-trash and take anything you’d like that the other girl has tossed, everything else gets thrown out!”
Fashion Humour
And lastly - a funny bit; a little poem about Butt Cams!
Madeleine Begun Kane presents No Butt Cams For Me ? No Ifs, Ands, Or Buts posted at Mad Kane’s Humor Blog, saying, “Fashion Humor”.
Thank you all and come back with great posts on fashion!
